Martin Luther's 95 Theses
These were written because of Martin Luther’s disagreements with some of the ideas and practices of the Catholic Church as well as the corruption, such as the sale of indulgences (paying to have your sins forgiven) and also the abuse of power from members of the church. He also believed that people got salvation through faith not deeds. The theses criticized the practices the church and spoke out against the corruption. In 1517 he nailed his 95 theses to the church castle door which resulted in the spark of the Protestant Reformation.
